persimmon bob, a cocktail

We were at the Santa Monica Farmers Market today and persimmons are definitely IN season.  There were crates and crates of persimmon ready for eating and it seemed like we just had to get a few.  But neither of us has ever had persimmon on our regular grocery list, so we weren’t sure what we’d do with them.  We brought a few home and looked for a recipe… then came across a cocktail recipe, so why not!


prep persimmon puree
2 fuyu persimmons
1 t. vanilla
2 oz water

persimmon bob recipe
1 oz persimmon puree
1 t. lemon juice
1 oz Bulliet bourbon
2 oz apple juice

finishing touches
sprinkle of nutmeg
horizontal persimmon wheel
