For Thanksgiving this year we are going to celebrate with friends in Portland Oregon.  This means mornings with big mugs of coffee and cooking group breakfasts.  I am packing this recipe because I think it will be perfect for the season.

home pressed horchata

You know horchata, right?  That yummy, rice-milky, super sweet, cinnamon-y drink you can order at Mexican restaurants.  I tasted an almond milk version and it made me want to run home a pen my own recipe.  This morning I had a breakfast date at The Springs LA, a self-described multi-faceted urban oasis (think: hip community center).  They make a cold pressed juices and milks, including an amazing horchata, full of spices and not too sweet.  Here’s my take on it.
