olvera street, downtown LA

Spending an afternoon at Olvera Street is just the right amount of time.  It’s a one block historic pedestrian mall lined with micro-museums and filled with craft peddlers.  We spent Saturday here on the look out for a good new Mexican blanket and a painted tin wall sconce.  Plus as a bonus we found a small brightly colored bark painting, some kitsch chili pepper lights, and made a penny wish in the wishing well.
